Ms. Portia Bradby

Ms. Portia Bradby leads all three Sickles orchestras — Concert Orchestra, Philharmonic, and Chamber — with dedication, artistry, and a deep commitment to musical excellence. Her passion for string education and performance has shaped countless students into accomplished musicians. Under her direction, the Sickles Orchestra program continues to earn top ratings at MPA and recognition throughout the region.

Our Orchestras

First Chairs

Sickles Orchestra is home to three ensembles. Select an orchestra to view its first chair musicians.

Concert Orchestra is our foundational ensemble, where string players build the fundamentals — intonation, bow technique, ensemble listening, and musical expression — that carry them through the rest of the program.

Philharmonic Orchestra is our intermediate ensemble, featuring talented musicians expanding their technical and musical expression through challenging repertoire.
